Reports indicated that the Tundra Bean Goose had returned to the Okhotsk region earlier than usual this year, so I began searching around Lake Furen in late February.
I struggled to find them, but after expanding my search area, I spotted them on a pasture where the snow had melted.
In the surrounding areas where dent corn had been harvested, Red-crowned cranes and Whooper swans were also observed.
